7 Mandatory Safety Rules

High Risk Operations

For FORVIA, a high-risk operation is a non-standard operation that involves a significant level of danger during its execution. Such as work at height, work with hot materials, cutting, welding, electrical or low-energy work, confined spaces, hazardous materials, among others.

For any high-risk operation, specific work permits are required, and the plant manager
must be informed prior to intervention
. For these cases, you must also have the relevant
documentation and permits to carry out the work safely and under the necessary regulations.

• The permit must be issued by the job applicant, reviewed by a competent person, and approved by the Manager or authorized representative of the plant.
• Access to the roof requires approval from the authorized representative of the BG.

• All hazards must be identified; Risks must be assessed, and controls must be implemented.

• Any intervention by a contractor must be covered by a general work permit and a FORVIA representative must periodically verify the correct application of preventive measures.

• The NO Loan Policy applies to everyone: no FORVIA equipment and PPE will be made available to any contractor, supplier, or subcontractor.

• Contractors must follow FORVIA rules and respect the 7 Mandatory Safety Rules.

• The edges of the roof must be secured by means of collective protection, such as railings. When this is not possible or when there is a risk of falling (fragile roof), safety harnesses attached to lifelines and/or anchor points are mandatory.

• Roof access points must be locked, and keys must be maintained by the plant manager or authorized plant representative.

Safety is a collective responsibility, where each of us has a role to play. Let us encourage a safety culture through the correct management of risk
situations inside and outside our facilities.
