Workshop CO2
We continue our way to cleaner mobility with CO2 Workshops
This week, on July 11th and 12th, the second North American CO2 Workshop was held at the Premium and JIT plants in Puebla, Mexico, with the CO2 champions of each division and the headquarters sites.
The objective was focused on standardizing processes using the best practices of each division as a model, in addition to mainstreaming ideas and projects, sharing the status of the sites involved and, above all, motivating the teams to continue leading energy efficiency as ambassadors of CO2.
“Energy efficiency is of vital importance in today’s fast-paced world. It not only helps in reducing energy consumption and mitigating environmental impact but also translates into economic benefits for individuals, businesses, and nations. By adopting energy-efficient practices and technologies, we will achieve our Carbon Neutrality commitment by 2025, combat climate change, and conserve valuable natural resources,” pointed Gina Gleyal, HSE Director for NAO.
Agenda included questions management and encouraged communication between the champions under the guidance of the regional leaders, also paying special attention to the energy issues of the plants, such as their energy action plan, energy efficiency projects, energy monitoring, KPIs, best practice sharing, ECT questionnaire, EaaS, PPA, etc.
We appreciate the participation of our champions and together with their teams and management, we will focus on meeting, as a company, our sustainability objectives, on the way to increasingly cleaner mobility.
Foam In Place
Unique in North America and effective in achieving a 1% scrap rate
Following our roadmap to achieve full carbon neutrality by 2045, the JIT plant has developed “Foam In Place,” the first program implemented in North America that has reduced the scrap level to 1%.
This reduction has allowed the plant to find stability in its processes, and consequently, in its employees and operations, becoming more efficient and effective.
So far, JIT is the only plant with this technology, which has been applied to three sequential programs, further enhancing process efficiency.
It is expected that this technology will soon be implemented in other plants to achieve the same positive impact on operations.
